Oh lord, I have had great success with my GBS and in the last 20 months gone from a size 26 to a size 4-6. I have felt better than I ever had and with a house full of teenagers (4) 2 boys, 2 girls, oldest 18 youngest 12 I have had all the energy in the world. Well I just found out yesterday I am pregnant. OH LORD..do I really want to start all over??? Do I want to jeopardize all my hard work to get the weight off. OH goodness everybody..just say a quick prayer for me and my husband. I am still in shock. Shannon Iron Station, NC

Shannon -

Congratulations on this blessing bestowed on you and your family. I also have "two families" same dad and marriage, but a big spread. You will be fine. You will be able to handle things better now than you did before re: post pregnancy recovery. I'm sure that you can work closely with your Dr and your nut. to be sure that you and the baby get all that you each need. I have to say that the second time around, I'm an easier going mom than I was with my first set. I truly appreciate all the little things and let the big stuff go.

I sort of know how you feel. My first kids were twins ... while that is a blessing, it was also an incredible amount of work. I thought, I didn't sign up for this! On the otherhand, I cannot imagine my life without them. I'm also so delighted and blessed to have our youngest.

I'm wishing you happiness and peace. I truly believe that you will come through this well.

Shannon - Congratulations on your pregnancy. Take your time and let things sink in, sounds like your in a bit of shock. You've learned how to eat properly and have enjoyed the success of your WLS. Your in control of your life now, not the food. Best Wishes!

We have two families too. Our older kids are 35, 31 and 31. (twin girls) Our second set of kids are 18, 18,15, and 9. We got our youngest at three weeks old when I was 44. I loved every minute of having a new baby, but I didn't have to go through the physical stuff. Our youngest kids are adopted. I will be praying for you and your family. Give the shock time to wear off and you will be fine. By the way. My biggest shock was my twins. We didn't know we were having twins until one was born. Three minutes later her sister was born!

Sending you lots and lots of calming vibes sweetie. Allow your news to settle in for a few days. Take some deep breaths and give you and your hubby time to process. I've been through the big surprise, I know that innitial fear and shock of an unexpected pregnancy. Feel free to message me if you need an ear.
