Argh itchy itchy (laser hair removal)

Im having some weird ass reaction to my laser hair removal - i dont know if it was the laser itself or the copper cream that was put on afterward, but my whole chin/neck is bumpy and itchy like an allergic reaction. The laserologist said it was normal for some people and to use cortisone cream on it, i also took a benadryl but NOTHING is helping this. Its HORRIBLE. ARGH.

I am not a doctor but that DEFO sounds like a allergic reaction!!! If the Benadryl didnt help you might want to go get a Epi pinch from your Doc! Thats what we did to our allergy people when I used to be a Paramedic 100 years ago!! it sounds like you are very uncomfortable and I hope your doc can help you.

Oh its definitely an allergy but I am not sure what to, I'm thinking the copper cream because I have problems with nickle too. the hydrocortisone isnt helping and neither is the benedryl heh

I keep puttin a frozen wash cloth on it to get relief fromt he itch :( If its not better in the morning I'm taking your advice and hitting the doc I think.

Oh My Lexi dosent sound like fun. I have been following your post on the lazer because I am having it done on the 12th. I am having it done for hair removal and rosacesia (sp) the doc did tell me I would look pretty beat up afterwards. Stay on top of your doctor so you can get some relief.                                             Annie

Honest Annie if it removes the hair, I'd go through much worse than this lol. I am going to skip the copper cream next time though, I tell ya that much! And yes I'm still itchy this morning sigh

I know you must be misrable Lexi, I totally understand that you would do what ever it takes to remove the hair. The truth be know I am sure facial hair has something to do with obesity so that being said I admit I have to shave parts of my face. Visions of the fat bearded lady dance in my head.                                            Annie
