How do you keep yourself accountable?

Do you track what you eat or how much you exercise? If so, how? What works best for you?

I track what I eat on www.mydailyplate.com. I've tried www.fitday.com and www.sparkpeople.com too. I like www.mydailyplate.com the best so far because it seems to have the largest database of foods ... I don't really like having to go figure out all of the details, I just want to record and run. I really want to do something that I can do on my PDA and download to my computer, or better yet upload to a site online so I could access it anytime. I wish that one of the sites like mydailyplate, would make that available. I certainly would invest in the software application to have on my PDA or phone to sync with it.

I am not nearly as diligent about tracking my exercise ... LOL ... I guess that is in part because I'm not nearly as diligent about getting my exercise in ... Something I need to work on.

If you have ways that you keep yourself accountable, please share. I'd love to hear your suggestions.

Barb, With dialysis, I weigh before and after each treatment. I track what I weight at the the end of each treatment because it's a truer weight.   I was just using the OH tracker, but i think I might put it on a spreadsheet or something. Thank you for sharing those links, I mighr check them out, too....a little later when I am able to exercise and am eating real food!! Kelly :)

Down 65.6 lbs  WITHOUT surgery!!

This diet ticker is of my overall weightloss since 2/16/08.

I was so glad on Saturday to get your recommendation for mydailyplate.com.  I had been using a paper food journal I'd adapted from my years with Weigh****chers, plus tracking daily weigh-ins on Weight Commander -- but definitely find that the features at mydailyplate.com are much improved over what I've been using.  Still, I do like the portability across media of a plain paper food journal that includes space for activity/exercise, as well as a little checklist space I created for my vitamin/mineral supplements.
