Dr. Bauman

I'm also a patient of Dr. Bauman's.  It seemed to me also, that I was continually checking to see if my boxes were checked yet.  I called Kim, and she said she's the one who updates the site, along with everything else dealing with submitting, and certain times she gets so backlogged making sure everyone is submitted promptly, that updating sometimes gets behind.  I was ok with it then, because as long as the balls rolling, I wasn't so worried about the site.  One day not to long after, I checked and voila!   6 boxes were checked off!  It will happen......untill then, call the insurance co. and pester them all you can!  Best of luck! Nancy, I am a LapBand patient of Dr. Bowman's also.  Perhaps you can help me.  After I eat, especially in the mornings and early afternoons, I hiccup  terribly.  Is this normal?  Also, I have experienced severe pain  starting  between ,my breasts  and spreading up my esophagus.  This happens a few seconds after I eat sometimes, and lasts for 7 to 10 seconds.  Is this normal?    Thanks, Barbara.

First let me congratulate you on your selection of Drs.    Dr. B is the best, and as soon as he reads and signs off on all your info they will  send it to your insurance comp.   BCBS  Awesome!   once Dr. B's office submitts all the paper work and your are approved Dr. B's office will call you with a surgery date.  BCBS approved me in 3 business days, not to shabby.  You will be getting a surgery date in no time.   I wish you great success on this amazing journey!  

The waiting is the HARDEST part!  I remember waiting for the checked boxes.  It has to wait for him to review before they update the web site, and they really could improve their process on the timeliness of updating the web site, in my opinion.   However, that being said ... with Cigna, I had to wait forever and fight with them to get approval, but once Cigna gave the okay, Kim called me and said "you're approved" and the next day she gave me a date, and it was less than 2 weeks later that I was on the operating table.   So, keep the faith! 

The office staff there is GREAT.... I love Tammy the nurse she is awesome.... They really are great and just really busy and for us it is frustrating but you will be very well taken care of. They are so compassionate and very caring and are excited to see the changes for you as well. I have Dr. P. and think he is the best...... You will be very happy there I am sure of it.............
