Fever!
Hey everyone!
Just thought I'd send a quick update to say I'm feeling ok. I'm sipping and walking and napping. My tummy is sore, but my incisions are looking great. I seem to have developed a fever though. I called my surgeons office and they said to keep an eye on it as long as I was feeling good. The only thing that feels bad is my lower back...it's quite sore. If I still have a fever Monday, I'm going to go see my doctor because I'm willing to bet I have an UTI.
I hope each of you are having a wonderful weekend! I'm going to go work on a paper that is due in one of my classes. Sounds fun huh?
xoxo,
Becky
It's actually fairly normal to run a low grade fever for a few days after surgery. Your body is recovering and the fever can be part of that process. I run low grade fevers every time I've had surgery, and I've had seven. Keep an eye on it, of course.
As far as back pain goes, I had a lot of soreness from the bed post op. Actually, I had a little nerve damage on my behind from it. My left cheek was numb for a couple of weeks.
Take care of yourself and keep sipping and walking.
Ellen

Thanks for checking in. I'm glad you are staying on top of things ... of course, continue sipping and walking. I hope the fever and back pain are just mild and transitory, but please let us know how you progress.
