Confused!!

Sorry to hear that you have been made to feel this way.  I was referred to my surgeon.  I didn't know anything about him.  I guess if they weren't any good, they wouldn't be licensed and operating.  Like you said it is your decision and you have to choose someone close to you.  Because after the surgery you still have post op visits.  Don't let any rude people get you down.  You are on the road to making a wonderful change for yourself and this should be a time to be happy and get support from this forum.  Just let em go.  Good luck with your journey!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you all for your support. I really felt like there for awhile that I was losing it (my mind) that is. I really am glad to see that there are people in the world whohave compassion and a heart and understand where I was coming from. Again I thank ya'll from the deepths of my heart . You have no idea how far an encouraging word can go. It amazes me even in my own life that a word of encouragement can mend even the brokenest of hearts. And to tell the truth mine was pretty much crumbling. Thanks again so much for your encouraging words. I can't wait to be on the loser bench!

I was going to use Dr. Miles but his office seemed to be a *****aotic for me... I just saw the posting you were referring to and it seems the ladies were just expressing their opinion which after all this is a open forum free to anyone that wants to do the same! I ended up doing the drive to Greenville and I would do it again if I had too. You are also busy with your kiddies and I do not have any so its easier for me to get up and go! I lived in Surf City from 1996 till 2005.... do I know you??? best of luck to you!

Hi and thanks for your reply . Yes it is an open forum and they are free to its just got to me to hear about death and such. Anyways I have only lived here since last January. A little over a year now and I love it. We don't live on the island, just this side of the bridge. Thanks for the wishes of luck and yeah I wish I coulda went to greenville since I hear they are one of the best in the country but my boys come first . Thanks again.

Hey Momz......Don't let anyone get you down.   Your surgery and your choice of surgeon!  Some people just aren't happy unless sticking their nose in someone else's business and they are all over.    99 percent of the people here are awesome so we just have to learn to ignore that 1 percent.  We're all here for  ya!   My surgery is in 4 days so I am off for a few days but will see y'all soon! Some people just have to pee on your parade to make themselves feel better. Pay them no attention or use that great southern expression " well bless their heart" Which from what I have learned can mean anything from aren't they the nicest person to "well you know her Brother was her father" and bru**** off. I get the same thing when I tell people I am going to Mexico. I get the look and then "Mexxxxxxx-AH-co" are you sure ? I don;t even let it bother me. My insurance won't consider it and US prices are way too high. My Diabettes will kill me in a few years if I don't go to Mexxxxxx-ah-co and I am the most important opinion in my life and yours should be the most important in yours. Just be happy you are ready and going to get healthy...WOOOOOOHOOOOOO  Sorry I am in Matthews or we could hang out and be fat girl friends together.

Hi Melissa, I feel you;  I had the same problem but I am just going to ignore them my surgery went very well and I am feeling great. I am so sorry for those who had a bad experience with Dr. Miles (if that's the case) but my experience has been positive so I am fine with my choice. I think they might have meant well but did it in the wrong way. Either way God Bless us all....we are all here together in the same fat boat trying to get to the other side LOL Take care girl
