timeframe from education class to surgery???????

I had my initial appointment was on 11/13/07 and I had surgery on 1/2/08.  However, I did not have to see a cardiologist or have a sleep study.  I had a nutrition consult., psych. consult, blood work, ultrasound, CT and upper GI.  It was still a lot of appointments but went pretty fast.  Of course, if I'm truthful I will admit that I'm definitely a type "A" personality and very impatient, so I was really on the ball about making appointments and advocating for myself.
