Hello Again

Hi all. It's so nice to be home and surrounded by all those familiar things again. Even 2 days away seemed like eternity. I am feeling quite blessed to feel so well and be home so quickly. Besides the staples, I wouldn't even know anyone was inside my guts disassembling things and putting them back together. Geesh! I am virtually pain free. I have some soreness where the staples are due to my weight pulling on them when I stand/walk, etc. I slept very well through the night - except for pee breaks. ;O) I have been up since about 5:00. Been sipping...about 20 oz so far. Had my meds...spread out over a few hours. Had two 5 minute walks on the treadmill...besides the usual wandering around the house and back & forth to use the potty. All in all I feel great and am so looking forward to what is in store for me & my body further down the road.       You all have been so wonderful. Suzanne, my angel & my "mother hen." LOL Two of my other angels, Nancy & Darcie, came to cheer me on at the hospital, as well. Always a pleasure ladies. I know you traveled far and in traffic just to comfort little ole me and I love you both for it. *mwah*       All of the prayers & well wishes from you ALL were not in vain. I was so unbelievably calm the morning of surgery. I just knew that I was in God's hands and what better place to be, right? He carried me through without a hitch and I will trust in Him to take me the rest of the way on this amazing journey.       The road has been a long one but worth every obstacle, bend, bridge, bump and pothole I hit along the way. I navigated them all and am now on the other side. I would already do this all over again. I know I'll have my moments of feeling depressed, defeated, frustrated...heck! I had them even before surgery. I'm no exception to the rule. But I will try to keep myself focused and remind myself we are ALL in this together and if I need some reassurance or advise, I trust you guys to help me through, as always.       Thank you all for carrying me this far. Your support has been amazing. Love you guys!!

This is just wonderful news Mare. My surgeon told me after surgery to listen to my pouch and ever since that time I always listen to my pouch. When I feel full I stop I do not try to push more in than I can. Have a wonderful day.                                         Annie
