6 more days to surgery and i am nervous
Heya, MyOMy!
I had my Lap Band surgery at Rex, too (January 25). The staff there are AWESOME. I had to spend a couple days there because my surgeon had to do a hernia repair at the same time, but it turned out to be the best thing ever, as the staff helped me feel really confident about doing things right when I was out on my own.
Good luck with your Banditry, and do keep us posted on how things go!
Pam,
We all felt the same way before surgery, you will be fine. Doctor Melkonian is WONDERFUL , and I know he will take good care of you. He is fast at surgery , my lap RNY was less than an hour :)
The hospital stay was fine and recovery was easy for me. Don't forget to take a pillow to the hospital with you, it will make you much more comfortable while in the hospital and great for the ride home.
Don't know where you live , I am in Indian Tral , if you need anything please let me know .
The liquid diet was the worst part for me , but stick with it, the results are worth it :)

Thank you all for your support...it is fantastic! I live in Huntersville and am having the surgery at Presbyterian Main. Weighed myself today and have now dropped 11 lbs in 9 days. Haven't been able to find CIB in any of the stores in anything but chocolate (which i used to love) and am now so tired of it. My husband requested BiLo to order but still nothing. Didn't know you could order online but i will surely look into that!
GL MSBU....i will be thinking about you too!!
Love you all,
thanks, Pam
I really appreciate the offer but with surgery next week, I am working a gazillion hours over the next few days to get my desk caught up so i can be off for 3 weeks. I live in Huntersville and work in Ballantyne. If you could mail it, I would gladly pay you for it and the postage. My info is.

Everyone here is just so great! I am truly blessed to have met such a great group.
Do you still follow up with Dr. Melkonian or does your primary care doc do your blood levels?
Thanks again, Pam
Excited, nervous, scared, happy...whatever you feel I can say this. It will be well worth it. I went through the entire gamut of emotions, each one justifiable. But when it came right down to the day of surgery, I was sure that this was the answer to my years of battling my obesity and I was calm as a cucumber (whatever that means. LOL)
You're gonna do great and we are all here for you. I'm only 2 daze out & so glad I bit the bullet. xoxo
