yes that is good advice...exercise is my big problem because of my back problems but I'm trying to get more in...I realy have a lot i can do to get ready for the surgery..i am trying to focous on that...thanks ~Mary~

Mary, Actually you are closer to WLS because you have made the choice to have it. The waiting is the pits and with me I got very depressed just waiting to hear something anything. I did have to stay on top of all of it. It took me 3 years to get a surgery date. Not that, that is normal but I changed surgeons at the last minute so I had to have several records faxed to my PCP which I faxed to UNC myself. Also had to do some of the pre test over because of the age of the test. I hope in the future getting to surgery will be easier for us who have choosen to have it. My depression got so bad I had to go on antidepressants before surgery. It was worth the wait and belive it or not this is the worst part of wls. Hang in there Mary you will get there just dont give up.                                             Annie

Hi Mary -

I know it's hard to wait, but this too shall pass sooner than you think and soon you'll be scheduling a surgery date, then you'll be waiting until you switch from liquids to solids, then .... It's coming, really it is.

Mary, Annie is right on the money when she says this is the hardest part!  It's true!  But you will get there one day at a time.  And remember, good things come to those who wait!
