Oh I'm feeling old today. My "BABY" got his license yesterday afternoon. It wasn't this bad when his brother got his last year (they're 15 months apart). but Lordy I'm feeling older than dirt. Not to mention broke cause I've got them both on my insurance. Oh well I guess the broke part will cause me not to stress eat since I won't be able to afford the junk food. lol Guess every cloud really does have a silver lining. -Iris

I always felt pretty youngish until I needed bifocals.  For some reason, that was the trigger to my feelings of being an antiquated granny who was doomed to living alone in a house full of cats and hand-tatted doilies. My condolences on the insurance poverty!  It's a servitude that stays with us for a while, eh?

I am feeling old and broke lately too. We have two sons graduating in June and the bills for graduation items never seems to end!

don't even get me started on the cost of graduating. I though my kids were in public school but the cost is absolutely ridiculous. This week we're ordering invitations, cap and gowns and those things. Prom tickets go on sale in about 3 weeks - and both boys are going. I really want them to participate in most everything - neither one has college plans - trade schools yes. And I don't want them to look back and think they missed anything. How about the proce of class rings. I about fainted at that last year. UGHHHHHH... I'm not sure which is worse - Old or Broke?? - Iris

My boys failed to tell me about cap and gown picture day. The school called us and my husband took a check so they were able to get those made. I don't know why they told the kids to tell the parents. My boys never remember to tell me about pictures! They graduate on June 10th and it will be the first time in 30 years that we won't have to deal with public schools. (Our younger two daughters are homeschooled.) It will seem strange when school starts here next fall and we don't have anyone going. My boys aren't going to a four year college either. One is mentally handicapped and the other one wants to go to the local community college to be a police officer like his father and oldest brother. Just what I need to add more gray to my hair! Another cop in the family. Beth
