update
The visit went very well today all the doctors and Dr. Farrel were happy to see me.
The scale BTW was 3lbs heavier than the one at home OMG but all in all Dr. Farrel said he was very pleased and feels I will be very sucsessful with my RNY.
He says it is to early to think about a band and not to get dicouraged.
He said for me to eat more small meals often.
OMG I have never had any doctor tell me to eat more but I know what he means.
He wants to see me back in August which will be my one year surgerversary(sp) he also wants me to encrease my heart rate more to start sweating Oh My southern women dont sweat we glow.

What awesome news!!
Sometimes we get so discouraged because of our own expectations and worries that we need to get a little perspective from the docs/nurses and from others that WE ARE JUST PERFECTLY NORMAL AND DOING FINE! A friend taught me this mantra to chant when I'm stuck in the Cave of Negative Thinking: "There's nothing wrong with me, there's nothing wrong with me, there's nothing wrong with me." It has helped me out so much!
That and "glowing." Ha. May you glow to your heart's content!

I dont post very much but I had to say something here..you have done great! I have followed you along sence I started coming to this site, I really admire your "stick to it ness"(like that word?) In my book you have done wonderful! I hope I can do as well.....I also love the glow part....I think I will have to use that...~Mary~
Mary,
Thank you for posting.
I dont know if I will ever get to a weight of 130 but I do know my life is so much better than it has ever been.
Just to have many of the co morbiditys resolved since surgery is a miricle in itself.
I never relized how sick I was till after my surgery.
I wish you luck on your surgery and I do belive in my heart wls is the answer for obese people.

PS yes you have to be determined to make it work.
Annie,
Congrats on the positive news from the Dr. I always weigh myself naked at home, so the scale at the Dr's office is always higher for me too. I'm glad that he's happy with the results so far. You should be too, because you've done fabulous!
So, I always heard that southern women glisten! :) Well, whether you glisten or glow, get on out there and go! I know the dogs will sleep well! :)
Unfortunately, I was born in the midwest, and I think I've always just sweated. :( Hey, I've picked up a few southern words here and there, don't you think I could pick up the southern "glow" too? Maybe I'll work on that this summer.
Annie,
I'm delighted to hear that you are doing so well. I knew he wouldn't band you! You are doing so well with your RNY. Just keep working it sweetie!
Get your glow goin'!
