The race has really begun

Good Morning,All!  A good friend of mine is a nurse at my primary care physician's office.  She told me that all my blood work that my surgeon had requested pre op came back.  She said it all looked perfect and my pcp signed off on it and my physical.  My pcp wrote a letter and sent it to the surgeon that said I am the "ideal weight loss surgery patient".  She faxed my blood work to the surgeon along with the letter.  Now, I just have the psych appt. and the upper gi.  I feel like I am really on my way.....This is really going to happen for me!  I just needed to share with people who would understand.  Jamie Lynn

Hi Jamie Lynn. We sure do understand!  For most of us this was the most difficult part of the journey!  Are you self-pay or has your insurance already approved you?  That can be another journey in itself!

Thank you, Suzanne! I am using insurance, but I have preapproval pending test results, so that should be easy the surgeon said.  I am so excited and nervous!

Yeah Jamie Lynn!  Sounds like things are falling together for you.  It's exciting being an ideal anything, but being an ideal WLS patient is pretty hard to beat!  :)   Congrats on your good news, I'm looking forward to hearing about your journey as you get closer to the big day!

Thank you, Deb!  Maybe I will get to meet you sometime.  I live in Angier, but I have to work in Sanford from time to time.  I am an English Instructor at Central Carolina Community College.  I have also joined the NC WLS Meetup group!

Cool!  Well, I'm sure we'll meet at a meetup event, but if you ever want to meet for lunch sometime, let me know!
