Back from California~ New Pics on profile and avatar

Hi Friends!
Well Im back from California.  It was sooo nice to be back in my home state with the perfect weather and scenery.... I miss it so much.  We visited with family the first night and my sister in laws could not believe how much weight I lost! the last time they all saw me was at my brothers wedding in Maui.  Found out that one of my brother in laws cousin had the RNY BUT ate nothing but junk again and gained 60 lbs back and had to have a reversal because of problems.  Anyways we went to Disneyland, California Adventure, Knotts Berry Farm, Hollywood and Beverly Hills.  I LOVE going to Rodeo drive and drooling over the Prada, Gucci, Burberry,Chanel ect ect ect... They are gearing up for the Academy award show so Graumens Chinese theatre was SUPER busy with action.  It was nice to be able to go on all the rides without feeling *stuffed* in my seat and same goes for the airplane seats.. hubby surprised me and upgraded our tickets to first class.. very nice treat since the flight was almost 4 and a half hours :) The food selection is soooooooooo much easier in California.  I had no problem getting healthy foods to eat. Hubby even noticed the TV commercials in California were promoting healthy foods, we did not see ONE McDonalds commercial like they play every five seconds here.  I had one bad episode.  I got a smoothie in Beverly Hills before we drove back to Anaheim.  I thought I got a sugar free smoothie but it was not. Now remember I hardly dump off sugar but this one made me instantly sick and we were in heavy 5pm traffic on the Los Angeles freeway.  I got the super slimy foamies and prayed I didnt have to throw up or get to the toilet fast because we were stuck in that heavy traffic.  For those of you who have been to California, highway 101 is the busiest freeway in the world, I mean CRAZY busy.  I layed back in my seat and just tried to breathe easy and took some Gas X strips that I bought at the store.  After about 4o minutes it passed and I vowed never to have a smoothie again LOL its my own fault for not asking specific ingredients or maybe the guy gave me the wrong one.  Anyways I took some new photos but since it was cool outside I had my old floppy fat girl sweatshirt on in most pictures.  I did buy a smaller one at Disney but didnt want to wear it on the trip hahahaha sooo excuse the sweatshirt and the big baggy Braves shirt in my Mary Poppins photo... I guess Ill never get used to the fact I dont need size Large anymore!!  anyways thanks for letting me share my trip, I missed you all!!!

Welcome home. Sweetie!  We sure did miss you today at Peanie's "shower"!!  It was neat!  Hope to see you soon!

Welcome back girl! I'm jelous that you got to go and I didn't, I really miss it too!  My old boss in San Diego called me last week and offered me my old job back but at a much higher pay.   I thought about it but even at almost double the pay I'll still be better off staying here with what I have.  My family (and Rex of course) is all out here anyway, we toyed with the idea and I did get excited but it's just not in the cards...    for now. Anyway, I'm glad you had fun!!!!!   I'm hopefully going this summer - we'll see! hugs, Sheryl

You look great Darcie. It sounds like you had a really fun time and kept busy. I just love Disney. The only thing I wanted to do on my 50th was to go to Disney in Fla. (First time). I would go back in a NY minute if someone would say, Do you want to go. I felt like a kid. ( A tubbyone at that time.) Anyways, Glad you made it back safe and sound. Reenie
