'nuff said. I ate some plain BBQ tonight and that helped my brain some. I'm just so sick of chicken. LOL. But next week when we start the all liquids thing I'm sure I'll be wanting that chicken back. hahaha

No Sweetie, not a good idea.  I would hate to see you going in thinking you are having a laparascopic procedure and come out with huge incisions and a LOT of abdominal pain because your liver was too swollen to do the lap method.  AND you WILL be able to enjoy all these foods again in moderation and the great part of it is you won't WANT more than moderate amounts!  Keep those good habits going.  After the surgery you won't want to eat bad.  And if you are lucky you will dump if you do!  Dumping syndrome is your friend!

My Dr. doesn't require a "pre surgical diet" for me. He did ask that just a day or two before surgery that you eat "light", meaning don't pig out on all of those "last meals".  I'm sure your liver has shrunk considerably since Jan 2nd. Maybe if you narrowed your choice down it would be OK and I think it would help you enjoy it even more.  It's not about deprivation, it's about control because you will still want these same things after surgery. Look at it as testing your control. JMO Best wishes!

GOSH, i am really glad you brought this subject up...LOL
I am scheduled for March 5th my surgery date, by pre op is Feb. 18th and my liquid diet begins Feb. 20th!! Tonite I have been trying to figure out when I'm going to go get my last Whopper with Cheese and if I should eat at Fuddruckers (for the best burger ever) or Red Lobster and when Im going to have my last dinner of supreme Piizza  and what indulgences i want to get out of my system before the 18th visit with my surgeon and do ALL OF THIS without gaining a single pound~!!!! UGH!!! Now reading what everyone has said to you, is it really bad to get them out of your system so you aren't craving them right after surgery?? I think this process is the hardest thing i have ever ever had to endure in my life!! But I just keep telling myself the end result will be sooo worth it!! Photobucket
