Twenty-nine Days

I've been "under the radar"  (reading but not posting) for a while, so I wanted to drop in and say hello to everyone.  Well, how time does fly!  When I scheduled, I was 83 days PreOp.  29 days from today, however, I will be "on the losing side"!  Looking back now, I'm sort of glad that I had to wait for has long as I have.  I have given this issue the thought and consideration that I feel it deseves and I am really at peace with my desicion.  These days have not been (and still aren't) without second thoughts and days when I just wanted to call the whole thing off.  However, when I see my wife (surgery 11-29-07) discard her diabetes medication after 16 years of battling the disease and see her more happy that I have seen her in years, it makes me more committed to do what I now know is the right thing.  I also want to thank all of my NC "peeps" for always having positive (yet real) things to say.  Your words have been very helpful and inspirational.   I usually check the boards at least every day or so, even if I don't post.  I just sometimes don't have much to say, remember I am a guy after all.   Good luck to everyone and have a great day! P.S.  New avatar, same me.  Building my kids' swingset/playhouse/chinese torture device!  LOL

Hey there -- that's great news!   It must be a rush to know you're under the one-month mark.  And to know you'll have that swingset/playhouse/Chinese torture device aaaaaaaaaall built and ready for you when you're healed up and ready to romp! Cheers and best wishes on the countdown. Kim

Hey my friend... Glad to see you peeping out... been wondering about y'all! That's great news about Mitsy... and how exciting that your turn is just aroud the corner!  Those second thoughts will be there with you right up to your ride into the OR and that mask going over your face.  But you'll wake up on the other side with us and see us all sliding over on the bench to make room for you. Don't be such a stranger... we like men around here too!  Wish more of you would "come out" in here!
