So the 2nd job hunt is not going well and I'm very frustrated.  Lots of medical bills pilling up from daughter right now and finances are so tight my nerves just can't take it.  I've been hunting the News and Disturber Classifieds, TriangleHelpWanted.com, checking hospital web sites, checking out retailers, movie theaters. I'm at a loss. I've even submitted my resume to staffing companies but those jobs for afternoon/ evening are rare.  GRRRRRRRRRRRR I'd pick my nose if someone would pay me for it at this point!!!!!

Sorry you're having such a hard time!  I know the job market is rough, especially if you have time restrictions, etc.  I've come to the conclusion that I have to drop my $$ standards if I want to get a job around here.  :(  Bummer.  In the meantime I've decided to start teaching piano and voice lessons to help bring in a little mad money. Hang in there, I hope the right job pops up soon and your resume "speaks" to the hiring manager! Oh, and if you find someone to pay you for picking your nose, let me know so I can steer clear of them!  Yikes!  :)

I am right there with you!! I also have medical bills that are just starting to roll in and have been hunting for a part-time job as well. Its really a frustrating process. Spending the time looking, filling out applications, following up. I keep getting told "Ill call you back later today or this week" and hear nothing... *sigh*.  Ill keep my fingers crossed for both of us!

Hi Cagair, Do you think you would be intrested in doing food demo's at Target,HT and or Foodlion? I can send you the link and the phone number for the coordnator for Foodlion. Target's are usally 5 hour jobs 11-4 and pay about 80 dollars an event same with HT and they take out taxes. Foodlion are 6 hour events and only pay 8 dollars per hour. PM me if you are intrested.                                                 Annie

It is never too late to be what you might have been.?

Been missing you Jennifer. Good luck on the search... I've decided to add something part time too... I've worked out at the Mudcats stadium a few times and emailed my buds out there today about coming back this season... might end up in Cattails (the restaurant) which would be fine by me, being in the AC for those HOT summer months.  Might meet some  men in there too.  LOL  I've been the Picnic Coordinator a couple of times, and I'm telling ya, come July and August I was melting out there in the afternoons setting those up.  AC is a "GOOD THING." If interested, do some searches for merchandising companies.  There are some good ones and bad ones out there.  For those that don't know, merchandisers do pre-sets on grocery/drug store/big box store shelves.  I did that in the past and enjoyed it because I was on my own, got to be mobile to different stores, and usually work my own desired hours, as long as the sets got done. Have you checked the State job listings?  There are always jobs there... Here's a few links I bookmarked last time I was in the job search mode in case you haven't checked these places: ESC State of NC Job Vacancies INDEED Job Search Wake County Job Vacancies

Thanks everyone!!! Especially for the support! Annie - I appreciate the offer - but I can't even start till 5pm. I would definately do those jobs - if the schedules would permit.  Wendy I've looked at most of those, but not all! I'll check them out tonight. THANKS!
Jenn
