From time to time, I have shared some of these that I thought y'all would particularly enjoy.  So many of us here are animal lovers so I thought for sure that many of you would love today's Daily Word! Daily Word Today's Daily Word - Saturday, February 2, 2008 Animal Blessing I am grateful for animals, God’s creations of wonder and diversity. Animals remind us of the power of God’s love to create with such wonder and diversity. Giving thanks for animal life on the planet, we include those that share our homes and others that live in nature. Animals are a testament of the love of God active throughout all creation. New mothers protecting their offspring or a kitten or puppy snuggling in a person’s lap are all expressions of God’s love in the world. They give us reason to rejoice. Pets, large and small, give and receive love unconditionally with great enthusiasm. Beloved pets and service animals show us the joy and loyalty of being there for those they love. We are grateful for animals and all they teach us about love and commitment. “God made the wild animals of the earth of every kind, and the cattle of every kind, and everything that creeps upon the ground of every kind. And God saw that it was good.”—Genesis 1:25

Thanks Wendy you know what a animal lover I am. BTW going to do some test cooking today. Going to make a veggie lazangna and also going to mix up a small batch of lemon curd and fresh rasberries and put in mini phylo pastry cups all this in preparing for Lee's party on the 16th.                               Annie

Yummy... sounds good, except the raspberry part... I can't STAND those things!  Wish I did like them cause they're on so many menus these days, but just don't.  It's funny, cause nobody in my family likes them, so I think it's a genetic taste bud thing.  We eat and love all other berries but them! Have FUN in the kitchen... that's what cooking should be all about...

My 4 legged babies are the greatest. I've got Gus my 9 year old Black lab who weighs in around 120. then there's Ruth my 3 year old Blood Hound who's around 150. then there's Miss Marley - my granddog who's a 4 month old Great Dane and then there's Izzy my 4 month old solid black hell kitty. Izzy definitely rules the roost. Recipe question have you ever tried making a stuffed cabbage casserole?  I've got every thing on hand and I'm thinking I might do it more like lasagna but use the cabbage in place of the pasta - any suggestions? - Iris
