I took leave of my senses...

Yesterday I started w/trainer on equipment so my arms and legs were like mush this morning… so what did I decide to do TODAY?  Go to my first CARDIO DANCE class for an hour at !  OMG… the instructor gal is a Latin hottie… (same one that asked me yesterday if I'd think about teaching a beginner tap class )…  She weighs probably 21.3 ounces tops…shakes her body and bootie <---- (like that but w/dark hair) in ways one can only imagine doing w/out throwing something out of whack or needing to call 911... and she does Jazz/Latin SALSA in her classes.  For the love of God, after doing the equipment yesterday, I must be INSANE for going to that this morning… but I did, even made it through the ENTIRE HOUR…  (YAH ME!) I feel the word “crippled” coming into my vocabulary in the next few hours.  Don’t know if I need heating pad, ice packs or all of the above! I am SOOOOOOOOO happy about this rainy gray day and that I can relax this afternoon... Think I'm gonna snuggle up in my bed with its new memory foam pad and "rest" my weary muscles for a spell.Y'all have a happee Friday and wondermous weekend... and watch out for those Ground Hogs!

Gurl, you gotta do something now... You must MOVE (see my note to your post about stalling).  What are you waiting for?   If nothing else, go out and start walking n.o.w.  That way, you'll be ready for when the HOT weather comes.  I'm conditioning my body now on even the coldest days by walking.  I'm building stamina AND adapting to weather.  The best time to start that is now so that hot and humid NC weather won't serve as an excuse to not get out and walk cause it's "too hot."  I go out on blustery cold days... I bundle up and throw those iPod ear plugs in and take off.  The hardest part is putting that first foot out the door... but when I'm done and get back to the house, I feel SOOOOOOOOOO good. My doctor pounds on the exercise topic more than anything and at my 2 week post op he was asking "what are you doing for exercise?"  That's his first question to me every visit...  You/WE have to PUSH ourselves.  We are masters at finding every excuse for "waiting" for this or that when it comes to exercise... the wait is over girlfriend.   Now what are you going to do THIS WEEKEND to move... for an HOUR????  What is that "or something" you can do or are doing n.o.w.??? (P.S.  Your surgery was a month before mine and from reading your blog, we started at about same weight... so come on and dig those heels in girl!!)

Wendy your posts are always so amusing! I love them. I think you are right about the exercise. I have been trying to walk everyday but I want to get a fun dance dvd or something similar. Keep up the great work you look amazing!
