Oh to be 18 again! (xpost)

So uh, yeah this morning I posted a rant about the way my clothes fit and my belly being stubborn among other things.

Well I had gone to Goodwill and found 3 pairs of pants - 1 size 20 and 2 18s. I took em home, put em on (My clown pants are 22s) - well the 20 went on easy and I wore them yesterday, but they were cut for some very strange 20 because the crotch hung really low and they felt all weird, if I had pulled them up I could have tucked the waist into my bra (and then had major highwaters).

The 18s went on, but were so tight around my flabolicious belly that I think I gave myself carpet burn tryin to get them OFF again. They went in the closet for "later"

So this morning I hit Cato, determined not to look like I just climbed out of a volkswagen with 25 other clowns, and started raiding the clearance rack. $7.99 pants - ok thats not bad. Well I pulled out two size 20s and took them into the dressing room. Hmm, stil way loose in the thighs and butt, but the rest was ok.

I figured what the hell - went out and got two 18s.... and OH MY GOD, they fit! I wore one pair right out of the store, I felt great all day, amazing! 18s! WOO IM OUT OF THE 20s!

Hope they still fit after I wash them... LOL I'm skeered!

I cannot BELIEVE how good I feel every single stinkin day when I see one of these little moments.Something so many people would take for granted. Loooooooooooooooooooooooove my RNY!

Congrats Lexi! Don't you wish you could bottle this feeling?  I was just telling the nurse at my bariatric clinic today that I almost feel like I have a constant high!  :)  She smiled & said, don't let the word out, or they'll be knocking down our door! I don't ever want to forget how this feels.  I don't want to forget how it felt to me MO, and I don't want to forget how it feels now that I'm losing the weight.

It is such a wonderful feeling buying new pants when the size keeps going down.... I remember when the 26's finally fit WOW I was in tears, before I knew it my butt was in 10's , keep up the great work !!!!!   My Lane Bryany credit card is lonley now, I keep getting coupons for great deals from them  heeeheee it is so good to just throw the coupons in the trash, because I can't use the plus size store anymore, I am thnakful for Lane Bryant because they do have fashions for the larger woman . Congrads Woman, I bet you will be in a 16 by my birthday ( March 4th ) ... let me know if you are   :)

Lexi_K,  Way to go!!  I've been wearing stretch pants and sweatpants for the last little while because my weight had been going up, up, up!!  I started a liquid diet in preperation for surgery and have lost almost 30 lbs.  I got a pair of jeans that had been too small (men's size 50) out of my closet and I can now squeeze into them!!  If I ever get into something under a 20....OMG!!  You'll hear a party in the streets!!   Congrats to you!! and Keep up the good work!! Kelly :)

Down 65.6 lbs  WITHOUT surgery!!

Good for you Lexi, I bought a pair of 22 pants today and they are still in the bag LOL I am afraid to put them on LOL crazy I know but I guess I have had alot of disapointment with clothes before I get nervous of the thought they might be to big. I will send up the red flag when I put them on. To wear a 18 I hope that will be a pipe dream that will be here soon.                                       Annie

It is never too late to be what you might have been.?
