Does anybody have BCBS of GA?????????
Just curious. I have called them 3 times. They say each time that Hickory Surgical had not faxed my "clinical portion".COme to find out, Hickory surgical faxed everything...100+ pages on me to them. They've had the info since 1/15 now. Is it normal for it to take this long? I guess I'm just ready to get this ball rolling.........
Hi, I have BCBS of GA and they were fabulous. Could not have asked for better. They approved me in like 4 days and they assigned me a health advicate who has kept in touch to find out how I have been doing.. She said if they delayed claims or anything, she would take care of them. They were wonderful to have. I hope your problems get better.

Have Hickory Surgical resend if BCBS is saying they didnt receive - perhaps 100 pages is too much for the fax to handle and it needs to be mailed.
Once you send something in it should be in BCBS system within a few days - since they say they sent back on the 15th they should definately be showing they have it unless they are backlogged.
First visit to surgeon - 288 ~ bmi 45.1

Andra,Find out from BCBS what exactly is the "clinical portion", verify the fax number (my insurance had two fax numbers) and name of person to fax it to their attention, and ask Hickory Surgical to refax. Then call and ask to speak to the person handling it and verify that they received it. Then ask ever so nicely, whether you feel that way or not, when can you expect a reply. Try to speak with the same person every time, squeaky wheel only works if the same person is answering you each time.

I did finally get an answer. They had everything they needed all along, but because I was told on 3 occasions by 3 different ppl that they didn't, it was refaxed to my UM nurse at BCBS 4 times. She then had to go through everything each time---holding things up according to her. Any way---I'm supposed to know something this next week...so keep your fingers crossed.
