Harris Teeter
I don't know how many of you that shop at Harris Teeter have found their poultry section, but I wanted to make PK's meat crust pizza, and instead of ground beef, I wanted to use a combo of italian sausage and ground turkey.
Well, I was very pleasantly surprised to find ground turkey breast AND hot italian turkey sausage in the Harris Teeter near my house. They are packaged and sold by HT, and the ground turkey literally has 0.5g fat in 4oz! I was very very impressed...and I'm not always so impressed by them. (The HT near us in Greensboro, well the produce section isn't always so impressive!)
Just thought I'd let some fellow Carolinians know about those options. I'm definitely going to try to incorporate ground turkey into cooking/eating more, considering the incredibly low fat content and the amount of protein in there!
If anyone else has any good finds they found at Harris Teeter (any section of the store - meat, pantry/grocery things, produce, uh anything), this can be the place to share.

Hi Emily!
What is PKs meat crust pizza? Do you have a recipe?
I buy Fage yogurt at HT. It's got 20 g of protein to a cup. And you can get a no-fat version of it, plain, to which I add sugar-free preserves (fruit-only or sweetened with SPlenda). It's pricey but it's good!
I also buy HT's boneless chicken breasts because they have NO additives, including that nonesense 12% liquid "flavor enhancers" that everyone seems to be adding to their chicken these days, even the ones they tout as being 100% "natural." I refuse to pay for broth injections in the meat I buy!
Actually anything that is made out of pork is usually always also made out of turkey, Bacon, Sausage, Ham, If you can make it out of pig they have made a turkey version and also at the meat counter they have fabulous flavored sausages made out of chicken
