Anyone had Dr. Chapman?
I love Dr Chapman. He did my surgery and did it well. He's a no nonsense kind of guy and he will tell you like it is, but he's nice. His nurses are top notch as well.
I highly recomend him. I've had no complications what-so-ever since my lap RNY surgery last July.

Hi Amanda. Dr. Chapman did my surgery in March. I had absolutely no complications and he's has done nothing but impress me, both before and after surgery. He is nationally recognized in the WLS field and is one of the best doctors anywhere for this. You are in absolutely top-notch hands.
Here is his website at ECU.
Welcome and good luck with your journey.
If you have any questions feel free to email me.
Take care.

Hey, Dr Chapman was my choir director at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh! :) I loved him! He was quite possibly one of the best teachers I ever had.
OK, I know, obviously it's a different Dr. Chapman. :) Mine had his Doctorate in music education. Yours is a surgeon. :) I just couldn't help responding. :)
It sounds like he's pretty good though, judging from other responses. Good luck Amanda!
Dr. Chapman was my first choice as a surgeon. Because of his speaking and teaching schedule and my need to get my surgery done while I was out on school break necessitated by having surgery with his partner Dr. Wade Naziri. I can't say enough nice things about both of them. They are top notch in their field.
I am currently in the process of having my urgery done by Dr. Chapman. So far I have no complaints. He is very serious with his patients in regards to this surgery and how bad they want it. I am currently working on loosing 15 pounds before he sets my surgery date. I know he is doing this for my well being so he will be able to do my surgery lapriscopically and also to show him that I am serious about wanting this surgery. He will then put my on a liguid diet for several weeks prior to my surgery to loose some more weight to shrink my liver. I think he is a very good doctor and I am glad I have picked him and that he is concerned with my physical well being through this process just as well as my mental well being.
Dr. Chapman did my surgery... No complaints here, he did a wonderful job....

There are many excellent WLS surgeons in the Greenville area, but I have to say that I would have none other than Dr. Chapman do my surgery. As others have said already, he is straight forward and honest, very compassionate, skilled and well respected in his field. He also operated on my husband 4 times over a 2 year period for cancer/hernia related problems, so we got to know him very well before I ever considered having gastric bypass surgery.
You can't go wrong with Dr. C! Good luck and feel free to ask questions as you go through the process! Alice
