I went to Freecycle.com this week and will be picking up an excercise bike (a really nice computerized one!!) for free on Saturday!!  I'm totally stoked about this, as it's something I can do without having to worry about balance and being able to stand!!  It even has straps on the pedals, so my feet won't slide off!!  WOOT!!  WOOT!! Kelly :)

I picked up the bike yesterday.  It's a super deluxe one where you can program hills and valleys or level ground.  I guess I'll have to program the Tour De France course into it.  Watch out Lance Armstrong!! Kelly :)

Kelly, I wanted to say THANKS for posting about FreeCycle.  After reading this post, I went and signed up, and WOWO!  I think I had been there long ago but just never signed up and paid it any mind. I've already dumped a fully functional old microwave this weekend and am amazed at the stuff folks give away. I have my settings so that I get an email notice as soon as somebody posts something, cause if not, the stuff gets gone so FAST!  If I only signed up for the "once a day batch report" I'd miss out on a lot of stuff.  I haven't taken anything yet or posted any "wanted" items yet, but am getting ready to post that I need some concrete steps for a storage building I just had moved to my property!  I'll be so happy if I find some. For those not signed up yet... You're discouraged from signing up for a county you don't live in, but I did.  I signed up for Franklin Co where I live, but since I own property in Wake, signed up for that too... there's a LOT of stuff posted in Wake County.  It's nice to see stuff is being recycled and not being thrown in the dump. Fortunately on most days I'm by my computer so I can keep those emails deleted as they come in cause at times, the stuff coming and going on there is hot 'n heavy.   For those of you who use it, let's hear about the goodies you got/get on FreeCycle!
