The Journey has begun!

Hi everyone! My name is Tammy and I live in Winston-Salem.  While I've visited this site several times over the past few years, I can proudly say that my journey has begun.  I mailed my patient information packet back to the surgeons office.  I've started a blog and posted my story so feel free to read along.   I can truly say that I've enjoyed reading the chronicled journey of so many other members and hope that I can provide insight and hope along with a few laughs with others! Glad to be here and hope to forge life-long friendships with people from this site! Tammy J.

It's great to have you here in our little NC world.  I hope you will stay active here AND add yourself to the Birthday/Re-Birthday post. Keep us posted on your journey, and we'll slide over for you on the loser's bench soon.

 

 

Hey DeeDee, That's right....scoot on over but check this out......with everyone on the Losing side, you won't have to scoot over far!!!  I can't wait until I have rebirth day!  I am looking forward to it!

Tammy: Welcome to the NC boards. You will find a great deal of support and love here. I have really become attached to the stories of these ladies and feel all are my friends. I have met many of these ladies personally as I will travel to see them...lol. They are that great! Many more I would love to meet in person. Dang ole NC has to be too big! I loved reading your story and your personality shone through. You seem like a great person who deserves to be happy and healthy! Good luck with all of this and keep on posting! Lisa

I think this will be a great place to "let it all hang out" and plan to use the blog for that exact purpose!  Thanks for the encouragement Lisa and hey, I love to travel..........

Hey, Hey, Hey, it's Tammy J!! Welcome!!  I went to your blog and chuckled when I read about the BGB!!  Been there, done that!!  I loved the pic of you in the red dress.  You have a fantastic smile!! Just think how gorgeous (and healthy!!) you're going to be post-surgery!! Have an AWESOME day!! Kelly :)

One thing I failed to mention in my blog is on one flight (prior to obtaining my own BGB), I asked the flight attendant, "May I have a BGB" and do you know she didn't flinch or ask what that stood for!!! She must have used her context clues!!!  I don't know if I'll be able to stand myself after surgery.....oh wait....Yes I will, it's others that might not be able to stand me.     Just kidding, i am going to be me whether I'm big or small. Check the blog from time to time who know's what I'll say next.
