The Journey has begun!
Hi everyone!
My name is Tammy and I live in Winston-Salem. While I've visited this site several times over the past few years, I can proudly say that my journey has begun. I mailed my patient information packet back to the surgeons office. I've started a blog and posted my story so feel free to read along.
I can truly say that I've enjoyed reading the chronicled journey of so many other members and hope that I can provide insight and hope along with a few laughs with others!
Glad to be here and hope to forge life-long friendships with people from this site!

Tammy:
Welcome to the NC boards. You will find a great deal of support and love here. I have really become attached to the stories of these ladies and feel all are my friends. I have met many of these ladies personally as I will travel to see them...lol. They are that great! Many more I would love to meet in person. Dang ole NC has to be too big!
I loved reading your story and your personality shone through. You seem like a great person who deserves to be happy and healthy! Good luck with all of this and keep on posting!

One thing I failed to mention in my blog is on one flight (prior to obtaining my own BGB), I asked the flight attendant, "May I have a BGB" and do you know she didn't flinch or ask what that stood for!!! She must have used her context clues!!!
I don't know if I'll be able to stand myself after surgery.....oh wait....Yes I will, it's others that might not be able to stand me. Just kidding, i am going to be me whether I'm big or small.
Check the blog from time to time who know's what I'll say next.
