another event while walking

While walking today I had a nieghbor slow down and tell me how proud he was of me walking every day. Then I had a lady slow down and tell me how beutiful Guien and Arthur were. Then I had a woman slow down and ask me why I was walking in the  middle of the street. I snapped at her and said I am excersisng. I came home in tears and told Lee all about it. He of course told me to keep doing it and to not pay atttention to what one person said. I try to walk on the left side facing traffic nd when cars come I get the babies to move off the road and stop so the car can go buy. I am afraid to walk on the shoulder because it is uneven and afraid I could fall or twist an ankle. I must admit Arthur did really well today he noticed the cows for the first time on our way back home. I had to keep encouraging him to keep moving and he did slowly but we got past the cows. I can be very determined and I am going to keep walking to the cherry trees with my babies.                                                     Annie

Good for you Annie for keeping up the walking!  Focus on the positive comments you got today!  There's always going to be someone who has something negative to say.  Maybe she was just jealous because she was stuck in her car instead of enjoying time walking with her fur-babies!   I say:  keep walking, and walk where you feel safe!  You're being smart about it, and seeing improvements in everything you do.  Lee's proud of you, your neighbor is proud of you, we're proud of you and most important...you're proud of yourself!

I'm sooooo proud of you! You have the tenacity of a bulldog! You get out there everyday to do what you know you need to do to make life the best it can be for you. KUDOS my friend. Please know that while there may be a sour grape here or there, that you are doing a great job! Listen to the positive and don't let the grump ruin your enjoyment of the exercise you need and enjoy. As Deb said, we are all so proud of you. You are a real inspiration.

Thanks Barb, i just updated my bottomless bowl with petco so take it from me my babies get the best. I also heard back from the parrot rescue this morning. I need to take a class in Febuary but so far they liked my application. The general vote among Lee and Matt are to forget what that lady said and keep walking. I also did ride my bike when I got home and will be going to my water class Tuesday and Thursday this week. So my excersing has encreased 10 fold. I am now up to 25 sit ups before bed. Annie, I just love to read your posts.  I read what that meanie said to my DH 'cause he was standing here when I said, "that's bull ****" and he says to tell you "keep on truckin'".  I guess that lady doesn't know pedestrians have the right away and you pay taxes also! lol Keep it up girl!  You're putting me to shame with the exercise........ugh.
