Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers. I did fine, But im still sore. I hate the pain pills they just make me past out for a 1hr. My heart rate was up all thru out the stay at the hostpital and  my blood count went down then back up. I had the best nurses at durham regional, and the love of my hubby.I've already  lost 6lbs since the stay at the hopsital stay. I have a long way to go but just wanted to tell everyone Im home and make room for me on the loser bench!!  Oh a question too..... as soon as I drink or have soup i feel like i need to go potty. Is that normal. what ever normal is...lol... thanks again May God Bless you and your familly!! ~CAT~

Hi Cat! Welcome home!  And congratulations! You're lucky your "innards" are working normally!  They have a lot of adjusting to do!  It is perfectly normal to need to go after consuming anything.  The barium swallows used to go right through me!  You body is adjusting to a whole new way of using the fuel you put into it.  It will all balance out.  Give it time. Get lots of rest and fluids.  At this stage the is the most important thing.  And make sure you get out of bed every hour for a bit of a walk-about to minimize your pain and reduce the risk of clots forming.  It will also oxygenate your tissue and blood and promote healing. Congratulations on your 6 pounds gone forever!  More will be revealed!

Welcome home!  I'm with Jennifer, I gained in the hospital too!  So, losing 6 pounds already is fabulous!  I went to the bathroom A LOT right away!  Think of it as your body's way of encouraging you to get up out of your comfy chair & move around!  :)  Walk and sip, walk and sip!  Welcome to the loser's bench!
