Another update on our girl Juliana

I'm being virtual Annie right now :-) ...

First of all, Tammy (Juliana's mother) and Juliana want you to know that they truly appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers.

Dr. DeMaria came by to see Juliana this morning. Her numbers are still low, so he's ordered another transfusion and has taken her off the blood thinners. He is not doing a Barium Swallow and he is not planning to operate again; he has discussed his reasoning with the Weaver's and they are comfortable with the decision. Juliana's hemocrit needs to be stable for 24 hours for her to be able to enjoy the comforts of home.

Juliana has been up and walking. She has also graduated to her "liquid protien diet."

I'm look forward to letting you know she'll be home this weekend.

Thanks again for all of your thoughts and prayers.

I'm going to go by to see them later this morning and will print off all of your thoughtful sentiments.

Thank you Barbara!  I had just finished reading the latest and now have the most recent.  Bless her heart! edited to add:  Barbara, thanks for the very positive and professional reporting.  Based on your experience (I just read your review of the hospital and dr.) you could have been much less.  I am way impressed!  What a wonderful person you must be!  hug, robin

Thank you Barbara for this update.  Please do let her family know that we are thinking and praying for her.  I know it is probably scary for them, but at least she is staying in the hospital and not at home yet.   Thanks! Connie

Connie -

I know that she's READY to get the heck outta dodge (or Durham Regional as the case may be) ... LOL, but honestly, she and her family are glad that the situation is being tended to and managed by her medical team. I know that the visit from Dr. DeMaria went a long towards aleviating some of the fears and concerns that they had.

Thanks again for your well wishes and prayers ... of course, they are being passed on.

Best regards,

Barb
