Jennifer, Thanks and don't let a spoiled, selfish hot headed teenager talke away the joy you have in your succesful wl journey. Teens are button pushers and this one went for the heart.  I was so angry when I read that post Myrtis

Myrtis -

We are delighted you are sharing it with us. Keep sipping. Getting in all the protien in takes time and patience. Remember they want you to tank up on those fluids. As everyone else has said, be sure to walk. Not only does it make you feel better, but it helps to guard against an embolism after surgery.

Welcome to the bench my dear!

Barb

Welcome home, Myrtis!  I don't mean to sound like a broken record but WALK!  That will ease the pain.  But you need to walk enough to walk the pain off.  I would suggest asking DH to join you outside for a stroll.  Even for only 10 mins, the fresh air will do you good.  Also, you should be getting up every hour.  And if you can manage a 20 min walk several times a day that will really help manage the pain.

Hey Mertis, I'm so glad you are home and well!  I always swell with fluid after surgery so I'm expecting the same thing to happen to me when I have my surgery on the 28th.  Keep up the walking and sipping and you'll be walking outside before you know it.     I didn't know you had a hernia.  Did your surgeon repair your hernia?  I have a large umbilical hernia that my surgeon says he will probably have to deal with during surgery and that will be the hardest part of recovery.   Congratulations on making it to the Losers Bench!   Hugs, Bobbie
