I got home Saturday.  I slept most of Sat-Sun and Monday. But todAY I'm awake. Still pretty sore especially around the largest incision.  It is hard getting the protein in I have no appitite bu****er is easier. My DH won't let me out the door to walk but I do walk back and forth in the house. I did slip out the door to let Binky in.(Schnauzer)..she has been in prision to long. I have read some of your post and thank you for your prayers and well wishes. They always help.  I will try to keep on top of things with you. Sounds like you all are still having good Wow moments. I had a unwow moment. I gained 16lbs  of fluid with all the IVs they keep pumping in me. I took what where loose pants at home but when I put them on to walk at hosp. ohhhhh so tight. But thanks to you guys I was prepared for that. This loosers bench is really comphy...I sure like it here....but I just notice there is soooooo much room for more people on it.  What a happy group we will be. I  can see it is not going to be easy but it is possible and the results will be life changing. What a ride  it will be. I am proud to be a member of such an elite group of brave women which are confident enough to say lets take this chance , take charge of our lives, and get healthy. Bless You All Myrtis

Hey Myrtis! Glad to see you up and posting... and that all is going well.  Just keep SIP*SIP*IPing and WALK*WALK*WALKing!  And if you have to, sneak outside for a short walk and some fresh air.  It will do you a world of good. That fluid weight will be gone in no time too...   Bless you too!

When does the soreness go away... that is my only problem. I can't seem to stand up straight, which hurts my back.  Thabks  Myrtis

Welcome home (and back to us!)  I so relate about the water gain!  And you're right, if the good folks here hadn't talked about it in advance I would have totally been bummed!  If it helps, tho, realize that all the time you are getting that excess fluid out of you, your fat is going too!  So you are really losing, even while looking like you're not!

Glad to hear things are going well!   Keep walking and try bending over a little to pick things off the floor and the soreness will disappear faster than you can blink.  Don't worry about the protein just yet--keep sipping on tha****er or crystal lite.    WOW--you are on the losers bench with us!

If bending will help I will start today. I have been doing door frame push ups. Ya'll are right protein is the hardest. Thanks for the suggestion Myrtis

Welcome home, and congrats for joining us on the loser's bench!  Soon you'll notice the weight melting away!  You're right, we do always have more room on the bench.  Good thing, because it looks like Mare will be joining us soon too!  The way I figure, the bench continuously has more room because those of us that are on it keep shrinking, making room for new friends!  :)
