Wow, that was easy.

I still can't quite wrap my head around it but...I'm approved!  I called the insurance company this morning and the rep said that she had me listed as approved for surgery.  I asked her if they were going to send a letter to me (I like to have words on paper for stuff like this), but she said the only send out letters for denials.  I told her I really didn't need a letter after all .   Thanks everyone for the limitless information that I have found here.

Congratulations!!!! I remember the day I was approved... I laughed for a good hour- I was so excited. You still have a ways to go, but it is so worth the wait. I am having surgery tomorrow and I thought that this day would never come... it is really just around the corner!!!! You are going to do great!!! Good luck, Juliana

Thanks everybody! Wendy:  Misty is doing well.  She's about 2 1/2 weeks out and has lost about 15 pounds.  Her incision infection has cleared and is beginning to heal.  We did end up in the ER last night due to severe abdonimal pain that had lasted all day.  They did tests and said she was fine and that she probably had an ulcer.  They prescribed Prevacid and after only one dose and a good nights sleep, she's alot better this morning.  She even went to work!  Thanks for asking and see ya'll later!

I have UHC too and they said the same. They contacted the Dr's office with the approval that they needed and all was well.
