Update on surgery... TOMORROW!!!
Hi everyone!!!
I just called the hospital and I wanted to give everyone all the info. My surgery will be at Durham Regional at 10:30 am. If you would like to talk to me or see me you can call the main part of the hospital for patient information... the number is 919-470-4000. I am starting to get really nervous and a little scared- but I know this is the right thing to do. What all did you guys take to the hospital... in my bag I have slippers, comfy clothes, lip balm, and a robe.... what else would you guys suggest?
Thanks,
Juliana
You might take a pillow to hold on your tummy coming home. They gave us one at Pitt, but I don't know about DR. I took a bag magazines but didn't feel up to any of that sort of thing. Be sure whoever goes and sits w/you takes a bag of stuff like that to read/do. I wore a comfy pair of PJs on the ride home so have something that isn't "binding" on your tum tum for coming home. And of course usual toiletries like toothbrush, hair stuff, lotions, etc. You'll need non-slip somethings for your feet... they will probably provide those to you... those sock thingys cause they don't want you falling!
I'll be thinking about you tomorrow!!!
Good Luck tomorrow. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU! What a great gift you are giving yourself.

THIS IS MY TIME!!!!!!!!!!!
Good luck Juliana! I'm sure all will go well, and you'll be a loser in no time! :) Just to warn you, I gained 10 pounds from surgery (so don't get scared if you gain too). But, it melted away within a few days, and hasn't stopped since! (accept for a few 1 week stalls)
PS...it was great meeting you on Saturday. You're such a happy person, and so much fun to be around. I'm sure you'll be incredibly successful with your WLS journey!
