We never know when something we post here will be of help to others, so please, I encourage you to take a minute or two sometimes to post what you're thinking instead of keeping it to yourself.  It's often quicker and easier to just read and keep moving on without adding to conversations, but do try more often to jump in and participate.  You NEVER know what your words or experiences might do for others.   Annie, You probably didn't mean to or know you would, but your post today about that Evil Twin and walking motivated ME to get out and walk.  It's a nice brisk sunny day, BUT... OMG... that wind is something else.  My Christmas stuff is blowing all over the yard, trees on front porch all laying down, etc. so I've just piled everything up until the wind is gone. I put on my matching ensemble, grabbed my iPod, stretched a little and took off down the road... the start was great, but man-o-man, when I made my turn to come back, I was walking against the wind for about a mile!  Talk about a WORK OUT!  Me, a 251 lb. woman was leaning forward, gritting my teeth and pushing against that wind... a few gusts even blew me sideways.  But I'm glad I got out there to work out my tiredness from all that dancing last night before I swim in the morning.  The walk was invigorating and had I not read your post, the thought of walking out there in that windstorm today would have never crossed my mind! Now, I'm headed to the kitchen for a nice hot cup of Low Carb Clam Chowder I made earlier that's been slowly simmering for a couple of hours... so Thanks Annie... wish you were her to enjoy some chowder with me!  You are an angel amongst us around here...

Thank you for your kind words Wendy. I always enjoy your post and your great sense of humor. I dont think of myself as an angel I like to think I want to share what it really has been like to be super morbid obese in the hopes of helping others. I feel I have walked through the valley of death and it is my job on earth to help others who are on a similar journey. So if you compare me to an angel I would rather be compared to a fairy LOL I collect fairys and crystals and have an enormous amount of love for all animals and people. yes you are right the wind is up but I used that to my benefit today because of my bulldogs they over heat so fast so I thought this cool wind would help them on our walk. As a matter of fact I went farther today on my walk and did great. I wanted to take the dogs to a pond but on our walk we encountered a lab puppy who had his frisbee in his mouth. My Arthur who I call my fat man saw this toy and knew he had to get it. So he got away from me and ran toward the puppy. Thank God for Jason who had just pulled in to his father in laws house and came to help me get Arthur. He said Annie I am afraid they are going to knock you over. When a bulldog gets something in his mind it is all or nothing. So because of that I decided not to walk around the pond by myself with the bulldogs. I must say I am really enjoying walking I guess we never know how good it is to be able to do something simple like walking when we have been faced with great difficulty not to be able to do it. Now I am walking and really loving every hill I am climbing. When my sight gets better I would love to come have some chowder with you. I can do hwy 64 pretty good during daylight.                                                    Annie

It is never too late to be what you might have been.?
