We are back and Guienny is doing ok the vet thinks she pulled a muscle and we have some pain meds for her. I am still planning on taking her to the vet school on Friday. The vet wanted to xray her shoulder but was hesitant because Guien being a bulldog her breathing is horrible and sounds even worse at the vets office. Also taking and xray could require some sedation and the vet was not comfortable with that. Guien has hemivertabre which is a cogenital deformity and anytime some goes wrong with her bones I take action.                                                      Annie

Yippeee-Go Guienny!  Glad to hear it wasn't serious.  Sometimes severe pain makes them breathe very fast and funny.  Went through that with our Dobies.   They had severe arthritis.   Jake was the only dog I had ever known to beg for medicine.  He learned that antiinflammatories were his friend.

Hi Annie, I am just catching up and am so sorry to hear that Guienny is not feeling well.  What are her symptoms?  (I was once a vet tech and get off on this stuff!)  How long has this been going on?  Fever?  Please let us know what they said at the vet school.  I presume you meant you were taking her there today?  I have always had good luck at vet schools and they always give the animals so much personal attention there that they come home spoiled rotten! I will keep you both (and Lee too) in my prayers.

Suzaane, Guien is do much better tonight. The vet thinks she pulled a muscle in her shoulder. I am still going to the vet school just to have a recheck on how Guien is doing. Keep in mind Guien lost the use of her back legs a year and a half ago. The vet school recommended a cart for her and Guin took to the cart right away until 9 months ago Guien did not want to be put in the cart and she proceeded to walk on her own. Guienny is our miricle girl because I never thought I would see my girl walk again but she surprized us all. She now can walk and even run. Guien was diagnosed with hemivertabra and has 6-8 malformed vertibra so with her problem with her shoulder I wanted it checked right away. Yes we love the vet school they were so good with Guien and explaining things to us.                                               Annie We went to a local vet this morning

I'm glad things are going okay for Guien.  You take really good care of your dogs, sounds like you're on top of things. Take care. Ellen

Own it all, it's yours!
