Here's an idea or two... Fat-free Cream Cheese Frosting

Ingredients

  1 (8oz) package Fat Free cream cheese 1 (8oz) tub Cool Whip Free Whipped Topping 1/2 cup Splenda 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

 
Cream cheese with large spoon until soft. Blend in Cool Whip, Splenda, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth. Makes 12 servings

Spicy Cream Cheese Dip Low Fat Recipe

Great for dipping low-fat nacho's in!

Ingredients: Two large ripe tomatoes One small can green chilies -- chopped 1 tablespoon onion flakes One (8 ounce) package fat-free cream cheese Salt and garlic salt to taste  Directions: Simmer 10 to 15 minutes ****il tomatoes are tender) tomatoes, green chilies and onion flakes. Pour hot mixture over cream cheese and mix well with electric mixer.  Orange Cream Pie This is an easy light and creamy dessert that slices like pie, only there's no crust. Any flavor of gelatin would work well.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 pack SF orange gelatin
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup low fat cottage cheese
  • 1 8-ounce pack fat-free cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups fat-free or SF cool whip
  • 1 8-ounce can mandarins, drained

PREPARATION:

Place gelatin powder and water in a small bowl. Stir until dissolved. Add dissolved gelatin to a blender with cottage cheese and cream cheese. Blend until smooth. Empty into a large bowl. Stir in cool whip and spoon into pie plate. Top with mandarin slices. Refrigerate for 4 hours.

Serves 8  Creamy Ranch Dip 1 (8-ounce) package fat-free cream cheese, softened 2 Tbsp. fat-free milk 2 Tbsp. freshly grated Parmesan cheese 4 tsp. Ranch salad dressing mix 1/4 cup finely chopped red bell pepper 1 green onion, chopped (about 2 tablespoons)

Combine cream cheese and milk with a hand blender or food processor. Add dressing mix and cheese and blend well. Stir in chopped pepper and green onions. Serve with assorted fresh vegetables.

Makes 1 1/2 cups, 1/4 cup per serving  Serves: 6

Spicy Louisiana Shrimp & Cream Cheese Dip

Ingredients

2 cups Water
1 tablespoon Plus 1 teaspoon Tony’s Chachere’s
1 lb. Small shrimp, peeled
1 lb. Fat Free Cream Cheese—at room temperature
5 tablespoons Reserved shrimp broth
2 tablespoons Lemon juice
2 teaspoons Onion powder
2 teaspoons Hot sauce
1 teaspoon Garlic powder
½ teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Cayenne pepper
2 tablespoons Minced green onions
2 tablespoons Minced parsley

Preparation

Bring 2 cups of water to boil in medium pot. Add 1 tablespoon of Tony Chachere’s.

Add shrimp, bring back to boil and simmer for 2 minutes. Strain and reserve 5 tablespoons shrimp broth. Chill in refrigerator. This can be done a day ahead of time.

Place cream cheese, reserved shrimp broth and lemon juice in bowl. Beat mixture until smooth.

Add onion powder, hot sauce, garlic powder, salt, and cayenne pepper and continue beating mixture until completely blended.

Fold in cooked shrimp, green onions and parsley,

Serve with chips and crackers.

Makes 2 pints of dip. (Nutrition based on 16 servings)

Fat Free 7-Layer Mexican Dip Ingredients: 1 package (8 ounces) fat free cream cheese, softened 1 tablespoon taco seasoning mix 1 cup thick 'n chunky salsa 1 cup canned black beans, drained, rinsed 1 cup shredded lettuce 1 cup fat free shredded cheddar cheese 1/2 cup chopped green onions 2 tablespoons sliced pitted ripe olives If desired:  Garnish with chopped fresh cilantro Directions: Mix cream cheese with electric mixer on medium speed until creamy. 1 8 ounce package fat free cream cheese 1 8 ounce container fat free orange yogurt 5 packets Equal 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 small package sugar free orange gelatin 1 cup fat free cool whip 1 low fat graham cracker pie crust Beat cream cheese and yogurt until creamy. Add equal and vanilla extract, continue mixing. Stir in orange gelatin, beat to blend. Fold in Cool Whip. Pour into pie crust and chill for least 2 hours.Optional: Add Cool Whip to the edges of the pie and garnish with slivers of lime for color.
