Calm I am,still. Thanks for all of the replys. I so appreciate everyone's support. I am ready to rock and roll.

Robin, I had shared with Dr. P. all of the great comments you had made about him. I thought it was important to share such nice comments. He really appreciated hearing them too.

My surgery is at 12:20 and I have not been able to eat anything since noon today. I am doing great drinking alot of water. Very positive and waiting to get up and start walking already.  Will chat with ya'll soon.

Made it to ONDERLAND!!!!!!!

That was so kind of you to share that with him.  You are such a nice person!

You are doing the very best thing as far as I think, get in all the water you can!  Dehydration is my biggest buggaboo.  At the risk of being icky, tho, when you can handle it, try the grape flavored walmart drink mix.  (like crystal lite but cheaper)  It makes interesting colors in your, um, bathroom deposits!

I have set my cell alarm to remind me for 12:20 tomorrow.  You, Dr. P and the whole gang will be in my prayers.  Enjoy the ride girlfriend!   Just think, this is the most fat you will have in your system ever again  (be prepared to "weigh" more when you leave the hospital tho, since they will pump you full of fluids.  But that is just temporary, and while the fluid is still in your system, your body is using up your fat!)   Tell Dena I said "Hey"! ooohhh, also, even tho you feel really calm now, do not hesitate to get the happy juice when they offer it to you prior to your surgery!  I thought I was totally mellow, (and I was) but the more I waited, the antsier I got.  When they offered the first time i said no, but after a little while, I asked for it and they happily provided.  It made things SO MUCH better.  (And I hadn't really realized I was getting tense.)  So don't be a hero, get the good stuff!

Got the bench warming up for you!

Isn't it nice when that C.A.L.M. comes over you?!?  I was full of anxiety in the day or two leading up to surgery, but that day and evening before, I felt that "calm" too, and going into surgery with that will only benefit you. I'll be thinking about you tomorrow and looking forward to seeing you back here with us.

Rock on, my sister!

I'll be calling to check on you and will post it for everyone in the late afternoon.  I'm positive everything will go swimmingly, but we ALL feel better when we hear how magnificent you were on the table.

Welcome to your new life - remember to blog your thoughts and ideas when you get out of the hospital - it'll be REALLY fun to re-read them in a year when we're toasting our achievements!

Nikki
