I submitted my request for medical leave on Monday 11/26.  On Thursday, my employer, who is based out of SC met with me in Greensboro and all but asked me to quit.  The VP of sales told me that he no longer felt like I was happy with my job.  He also told me how easily replaceable I was and so forth.  The meeting was groundless and I afterwards I immediately filed a formal complaint with my HR dept.  To make a long story short we are now at a standstill until Monday at which time they want me to give them an answer as to whether I am going to go or stay. Does anyone know a good employment attorney who can help me?  Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!  I think I have a clear case of my employer interfering with my right to medical leave (oh by the way, HR claims they have lost my application for STD indurance which I submitted over two months ago!)

One thought, the employment law atty I worked with several years ago always counseled the clients to not quit.  Keep your nose clean, be polite etc. but don't quit.  So you may want to keep that in mind till you speak to an employment atty.  Good luck!
