I was on the NC board in 2004 and I received great support from the board members.  Two days before surgery  in 2004 I backed out  because I  was afraid!   Now I have begun this journey again and there is no stopping this time.  I am going all the way to better health.  Prior to my   approval, I was so nervous.  Now I am numb!!!! I feel absolutely nothing! Could it be that I am in a state of shock.  I am so glad to be back on the North Carolina Board!

Welcome back to the boards. I understand your feelings. I think many feelings can evolve when we are making such drastic lifestyle changes but I believe if you talk to people, even those with complications, they tell you they would do it again in a heartbeat. I have not talked to anyone that has said they made a mistake. Try and focus on that. It will all be SO worth it when all is said and done. Lisa

Welcome back!  And congratulations on your decision for better health and a happier life!  I was one of those who had complications and I would do it again.  And it took me a long time to make the decision as well.  I had my surgery a month before my 58th birthday!  So very glad I gave myself this gift!  I am sure you will be too!

Welcome back!  You're probably feeling that way because you know you're ready this time and it's a matter of fact now.  I kinda felt the same way.  I was excited to get my surgery done and knew it was the right thing but I was kinda numb also.  I hope you come on line often now that you're back!
