Well, I am finally home.  I have't had much engery or get up and go so I have not posted since I got home  from the hospital on Monday (11-26).  Both of my surgeries went very well - no problems at all so far and I don't forsee any happening soon. Oxygen levels kept me in the hospital longer than we thought.    I'm not sure if that is the reason that I am so tired and have no energy.  If any of you have any suggestions - let me know.  I'm also very sleepy - need to take a nap ever so often I am beginning to not like the liquid diet.  Nothing is wrong with what I am drinking - just would like something different.   Thanks to all, Nancy

Hi Nancy:      Glad you are home now and hopefully on a quick mend. You will probably be sleepy for a while. I know I was and I too had to stay on oxygen while in the hospital. Give your body time to heal and mend. the energy levels will return. I took lots of naps too. In fact, I slept in the recliner for a few weeks until I was able to return to the bed. That worked best for me.

The liquids can be tough but it will pass soon enough. Hang in there!!!!!! It gets easier.

Welcome back!  Rest and recover!

I'm already daydreaming about soft cheese, for the love of Pete!  SOFT CHEESE!   It's funny the things you crave - it's been a huge surprise for me to see what I DON'T miss.

Glad you're home from the hospital - rock on!

Welcome home! I also did not like the liquid diet and I was stuck on it for two weeks.. but I finally went nuts and ate some SF pudding and some soup LOL your energy level will be low for a bit, thats totally normal, you just had a MAJOR LEAGUE operation girlfriend!!! take it easy and soon you will be back to normal :0

Nice to see you posting again!  Welcome home and congratulations!  I agree with Darcie:  cut yourself some slack.  Rest and recuperate for at least 2 weeks and enjoy the fact that you are not constantly craving food and are on your way to a wonderful new life with a body that is healthier and doesn't make you hate yourself every time you look in the mirror! These restrictions are only temporary>  you will someday be able to eat anything you want.  And hopefully your body will have reeducated itself on the quantities part by then!

I am right here with you about the energy...but like all others have said, we did just have major surgery.  This is my first surgery ever...so I had no idea how my body would react.   I too am struggling with the liquid diet now post-op.  but..I know that it too shall pass.  I am just thankful to put this behind me and know that I will be eating most anything I want one day again sooner than I thought.   Enjoy this time to relax and reflect.  I have done some soul searching these past few days I have had lots of free time alone at the hospital.  I have discovered that although I am still morbidly obese I have now the tool to allow me to change that.  I know I will change and my new life is just around the corner.  This new life will give us the opportunity to do whatever WE WANT.   Best of luck to you.  Keep us posted.   PM me if you want to talk.  I don't mind a bit.
