Say goodbye to my Gall Bladder

So its official... got an ultrasound on Monday and I have gall stones... saw DrM yesterday and surgery is scheduled for Friday of next week. He is also going to look around at my plumping and make sure everything is ok. He said the pain I am feeling is typical of gall stones but with WLS patients it can also be from an internal hernia. DrM said some patients had asked about me and he joked that I was his most famous patient - hehe. So thanks to those who asked :-) I told him to tell anybody else who asks to tell them my surgery date so they could drop off presents!!! Thankfully I will be in and out of the hospital the same day.... surgery is only 30-40mins long so its pretty easy. Unthankfully this will cost me around $400... thats really not all that bad but its the worst time of year to be having such a large unplanned expense!!! Either way I am looking forward to eating again... I am soooo tired of shakes, eggs, refried beans and other soft/mushy foods. I will say I bought some Silk Egg Nogg and have been mixing that with Silk Vanilla Light and my protein powder for a morning shake and its pretty tasty... its a little high in sugar (the silk egg nogg doesnt come in light) but just a little splash gives the shake a yummy flavor.

Best of luck with your Cholectomy. You really don't need that painful little organ. You have done so well, your pictures are wonderful.

Oh Jennifer, I'm sorry that you have to have surgery.  You're right, it is a bad time of the year for additional expenses, but I bet you'd be willing to pay 3 times the amount to feel better!

Good luck, we'll all be praying for you!
