Are you having the same kind of foods you had at thanksgiving? I love turkey and want to fix another one. My kids want something other than ham and turkey. I don't know what else to do that would be fun and seem like Christmas. I love waking up smelling the turkey that has been cooking over night. Any ideas out there. One year we done mexican foods. I don't do them to well now. Hope all has a blessed day.

We have our traditional foods.  We always have Potato Soup on Christmas Eve.. luckily I can eat that.  I am the soup queen now!!  We do ham and veggies and such on Christmas Day.. all are still allowable.  We usually do not do a turkey for Christmas.  But heck, we did not do one for Thanksgiving this year either!!

Fix the turkey.  If they complain tell them they know where the peanut butter and jelly is...  I don't know about you, but turkey goes down verrrrrry well with Irene(my pouch).  If that doesn't work, have you considered a pot roast or something like that?  They smell up the house pretty good too. Good luck. Ellen

Own it all, it's yours!

YOu could do a lovely pork loin, or prime rib or a london broil with roasted vegi's, but if you really want a Turkey do one. Or you could just do a small london broil and a turkey breast ... that way you might end up with the best of both worlds.

Amy.........Dont be a martyr and give up your turkey just because they don't want it.  Holidays where you cook turkey dont come around that often so you need to treat yourself if that's what YOU want.  Maybe just buy a smaller breast if it's just you.....you can always freeze leftovers in little baggies for quickie meals later.  If they put up a really big stink about it.......let them make up their own minds about what they want......don't stress over it.......obviously if they don't want what you cook, they must have a bright idea themselves, so tell them to let you know when and what they decide and leave it at that........if they don't get back with you........guess they'll be loving turkey again, lol.  Boy, I sure sound like a meanine, lol. ( can ya' tell I raised 3 boys????)  btw..........How's life in the new place??? Nancy

How about a turkey breast for you and a couple of steaks cooked on the grill by and for the nonturkey eaters.  Sometimes if they have to cook for themselves they change their minds and go along with the cook.
