Pre op on monday/tuesday

Hey gang i have my preop with Dr S monday and my nutrition class tuesday - what all did you guys do at those appts? They said the hospital would set somethin up with the anesthesiologist as well but I haven't heard from them - what happens there?

I asked a ton of questions at my pre-op appointment with my surgeon. The rest of the appointment I met with the psychologist, nutritionist and nurse in a group setting. Then I went over the hospital did all of the check in stuff, met with the anesthesia nurse to answer/ask a bunch of questions, and had bloodwork done.

I know the nut thing is a group deal, I refuse to see the psych again - he was smarmy lol

I had a couple of pre-op appointments but from what I gather, this one is your chance to ask questions.  Know what you want to know from your doctor and write it down.  If you're anything like me, when I get face time with them every thought goes clean out of my head. As far as the anesthesiologist, they will look down your throat, measure your neck, and tell you what they're going to do.  It's not a big deal. Take care. Ellen

When I had my pre-op with Dr.K. He went over my file to see if everything was in order. I did have to stop by  the Dr. office that did my endoscopy and colonoscopy because they never sent the report to Dr.K. They did call me the next day to tell me they just faxed it as I asked them to do. I also had a list of question for him. He was impressed with my question I had. He said I had done my homework because they were questions that  were out of the norm for standard question that he is usually asked. I had my appt. with Jodi right after Dr.K's visit.  All done the same day, that was nice. Bought some products. Mercy called me the same time I was with Dr.K to set a pre-op visit. I saw Susan Burke @ Mercy. She does most of the pre-op for the WLS. Did an EKG,took blood.  had it read before I left, and weighed me. Asked alot of question also. Then the anesthesiologist came in and asked question. That was it. A breeze just like I was told would happen. I'm  getting my seat shined up now to slide on the bench. My liquid diet is a breeze now on my 4th day.

I am so excited for you Reenie! I'm getting more excited about myself as these appts move along too.

YAY LEXI!!!  Good thing you did not get that cold.  LOL It is all a breeze!  They just ask you tons and tons of questions.  We are making room for you on the loser's side!! Congrats!!

Oh i got it, i thought I was over it after a few days but man it was back yesterday with a vengeance - and i forgot to take my stupid synthroid so i was tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiired all day and emotional as all get out. I had a crying jag because my kid at the last hot pocket and I wanted it lol

I feel better again today but I don't trust it now  Oh the hospital called too, I go to mercy to see the anesthesiologist right after my nut class tuesday so i get it all overwith monday and tuesday. Ithink I am going to swing by trader joe's when i get done tuesday too since ill be on that side of town.
