do you have water shoes?  And if so, what kind and do you like them?

When I went to my first class Monday, everybody had on SHOES... and it never crossed my mind that there were SHOES for wearing in the pool  and while doing water aerobics (for traction)... learn something new every day! I'm always hesitant to buy shoes of any kind online, but I've looked around and see all sorts of them at all sorts of prices.  Just wondering if anybody around here has any insight to share. Thanks!

Hey there! I'm not doing WA now, but I used to. I really should get back into it, but anyway!   You don't need to spend a lot of money for shoes that work great in the pool. Wal-mart has some "aqua" or "water" shoes usually near their flipflops, etc for less than $5.00. I use them in ALL pools b/c you never know what is going on in the bottom of those things. I've even taken them to the beach to wear also b/c I hate the sand between my toes-- weird I know. Anyway, I know they range in prices, but like I said the ones from Walmart work great and are only about $5.00 a pair... How is WA going? I think you said you are doing it at your local YMCA? How much weight have you lost so far?  Let me know when you head to Greenville again and maybe we can get together! :)

I took water therapy at a local rehab center after my knee surgery.  I used the socks with the tread on the bottom like they give you in the hospital to wear instead of slippers.  I later found a pair of water shoes at Target for $3.00 that I now use.   It was wonderful therapy and if they had evening hours I would be doing it again.   LOVED IT!

I do water classes three times a week and I have a pair of Ryka water aerobic shoes. They were costly but I love them. I am sure you could use other types. I just like them and they are made for this purpose and made to last. I had a pair from way abck which lasted a few years so the investment was worth it to me. I found mine on ebay and they were new. I would recommend some type of shoe made for the water for traction.  I am such a proponent of water aerobics. I absolutely love it and will go today.

Hi Wendy I use my water shoes everytime I go into a pool or our hot tub. I mainly use them to help prevent from falling or slipping on the bottum of a pool or the tub. The last pair I bought for Lee I bought online had no problem was given a tracking number. I buy online all the time. I even buy all my pet food online and it comes once a month.                                              Annie

It is never too late to be what you might have been.?
