At long last ~ an update!!!

Hello everyone!!  Just wanted to post a quick note to let everyone know that I am still alive and kicking!!!!  We made the move to Virginia and boy, is it ever cold here!!!!!  It has already snowed twice since we moved about 3 weeks ago, albeit nothing measureable.  I tell people that if I had known I was bringing snow with me, I would have stayed in NC!!!  Everything is going really well for me ~ I have found a job, moved in with my wonderful man, and my son has adapted to his new school and surroundings very nicely.  I have a lot to be thankful for this year.   As of this morning, I have lost 80 lbs with only 55 more to go to meet my goal.  I haven't been very faithful in sticking with the program lately, but I am going to try to do better now that everything is finally settling down for me. I know that several of you have been praying for my soon to be ex husband and I really appreciate that.  At last check, he was doing well with his cancer treatments and his doctors have given him a good prognosis.   I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving holiday and even though I am now living in VA, I still consider the NC board my home and you guys my friends.  Take care and God bless you all!!!! Hugs, Donna  :-)

Donna, It was so nice to see your picture on here today. You look so beautiful! I am glad to hear that things are going well for you. By the way, keep the snow in Virginia please. I hate cold weather! I had my surgery on October 15th and things are going okay I guess. I can't eat much and when I do eat I feel like bubbles are going up and down inside of me and I feel sort of yucky. I am down 31 pounds since surgery and 47 since I first saw Fuzz. I go back to see him in January. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and again it is great to hear how you are doing. Beth

Beth, You are very sweet and kind to call me beautiful.  I certainly don't feel beautiful but love the compliment anyway!!!  Hang in there with the eating.  It does get better, I promise!  While I can eat more now than I could right after surgery, I still have days when nothing settles very well and I feel yucky after eating too.  But this too is improving!  WOW ~ 47 lbs is awesome!!!  You are doing so well.  What day in January do you have to go back to see Fuzz?  My six month check up with him is on January 3rd.  It would be great if yours is the same day.  I would love to finally meet you in person!!   I will do my best to keep the snow and cold weather up here with me but I try to be a giving person and share things so if some comes your way, you will know why!!!  I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas too!!  Take care and keep up the good work!! Hugs, Donna

Lisa, Thanks for your kind words.  You are doing great yourself!!  Isn't it a wonderful feeling to see the numbers on the scale continue to go down????  Yes, there are a lot of changes going on right now with me but thankfully most of them are good changes!  I am happier now than I have been in a long time.  I plan on staying in touch ~ I miss "talking" to all you guys on here!!  You take care and happy holidays to you and your family! Hugs, Donna

Jennifer, WOW right back attcha girl!!!!  Your pics just blow me away!!!  You totally rock girlfriend!!!  Look at how fabulous you look.  I can't believe that you have already lost over 100 lbs!!  I am so jealous!!!  Just kidding!  I am just as proud of you as you are of me ~ heck, we all rock on here, don't we???  I will try to update my pics soon.  I have a really hard time seeing the difference so I guess that is why I don't post pics often.   Don't worry ~ I promise I won't forsake my NC friends for the VA board.  To tell you the truth, I haven't even been over to visit the VA forum.  I hadn't even thought about it till you mentioned it!!!  How weird is that, huh??? Take care and congratulations on a super job with your weight loss!!!  You are my hero!! Hugs, Donna  :-)

Donna.. you are funny!!  The 108 pounds is counting back to my first pre-op vist.  I am counting every single pound girl!!  :)  I lost about 26 pre-op.  But all 108 has been since April.  Not too shabby.   I was shopping with my sister at a thrift shop yesterday and found some really great sweaters (in a size L btw... LOL)  and the lady there told me that she would have never guessed I had been fat.  It was a compliment ... sort of I think...  and took me aback.   I am glad to see you around again Donna.  You have been missed here!!
