And then finally he said "WOW!!!"

I saw a friend I haven't seen since early July at the grocery store tonight. He didn't recognize me at first and when I said "Hi Art", he ****ed his head a bit and his jaw dropped and then he verrryyyy slowly said "WWWooowwww!!!!!" He just stood there like he was frozen in time. I finally said "Hey! Where's my hug?" He couldn't get over it ... He knew I had had the surgery, but ....

At any rate, he went off to find his dear wife and apparently said ... You'll never guess who I just saw ... and I bet you won't recognize her either!" She hunted for me and said she was looking over every skinny woman in the store ... Finally, I came around the corner, saw her and waved hello. She audibly GASPED. I got a big hug and she said that if she hadn't known me before she would never have guessed I had ever been heavy. I don't think she saw my turkey neck ... LOL.

That was a great way to end the weekend.

Hi Barb, Happy Monday morning!  Don't you love it when that happens?  I don't think we see the dramatic changes in us, ourselves.  I notice the changes in you  every time I see you!  I even said to Annie, "Wait til you see Barb.  She looks fantastic!"  The progressive pictures you have taken really tell the story. I haven't had it happen before, but it was wild when it did. I think that you are right, we don't see the dramatic, positive changes in ourselves as much as others do. It is good to see yourself through someone else's eyes.

I still want to see you in your sunday, go to church size 10's Miss Fancy Pants! I know you looked FANTASTIC!

I don't know if it's okay for me to come to your group on Tuesday ... I'd love to see Ethel again and I know I can always use all of the support I can muster. If you find out if "outsiders" are welcome, please let me know. If not, please let give Ethel a hug for me.

Barb, That would be wonderful.  It is at the same place, ACC bldg.  We are having a cooking class in Jan, and it is open to all, but there is a small fee for those who are not Dr. Farrell's patients. That fee only pertains to the cooking class.  There is no fee for the plastic surgery class tomorrow!  I'll see you then! I would say the same thing Barbara, if I had not known you had it or not met you here, I wouldn't have even thought for a second you ever did the surgery.  And you do not have a turkey neck!!!
