Caught some big game while Goodwill Hunting

Lisa and I had a wonderful time Goodwill Hunting. Next time, I hope we get more company. I found a lovely coat for $7 at a thrift store ... Lisa found a toaster (not sure how it will fit ;-), some jeans and tennis shoes. I found a beautiful silk suit for $14 at a consignment store. I found a dress and jacket for $10 and a pair of cords for $5. Lisa found a 2 shirts and a hoodie and I got a wonderful fall sweater at a thrift store. We made a haul at a Goodwill and I got two jackets to wear with my black dress and/or pants and a pair of Clarks clogs (Lisa turned me on to them ... boy are they comfortable) ... Lisa found a gorgeous silk suit that matches her beautiful blue eyes, a sweater, a shirt and other stuff I can't remember. It sure was fun.

After all of that, we ran over to Trader Joe's and picked up some goodies ... Fage Yogurt, Buffaloe Burgers, Shrimp and ****tail Sauce, among other things.

Lisa ... I had so much fun with you and I can't wait to do it again.

I hope that we'll get to do this with others another time.

Sounds like you had a great time Barb and got some great deals!  I too, stopped at Goodwill when I was in Chlt. for my Dr. appt. I bought 2 pr. of Dockers flat front Khaki's in size 14!  I think I will have to drop 5 lbs. to get them to zip easily, but talk about a great deal!!!!!  Nancy

Wooo Hooo! I love finding great deals!

I think I need to lose about 5 lbs before I wear those new cords and I know that the black dress will fit better as I get slimmer. I can't even button the jacket of the suit I bought but the pants fit perfectly ... If you didn't know me better, you might think it was because I was endowed with a lovely chest, but alas ... that is not the case :-0 ... I'm hoping that as I lose the "Fat Back" and the jacket fits better, I'll still be able to keep the pant's up ... LOL.

Enjoy your new Dockers while they still fit!

When you go to Charlotte, you should check out the Goodwill on Freedom Dr. Clothing there is by the pound, $1.64 a lb. I think.  Have to dig for stuff but I have found brand new items with tags. Great stuff in there.

We have one in Cary, which is a stone's throw from Raleigh. I think that they have some down in Charlotte and Annie said that they'll be opening one in Chapel Hill. Raleigh is slated to get one next year ... YEAH!

We'll be getting together December 15th ... After that, the next meeting will be in Jan. I hope that you can come up too!

I just put in my request for leave for Dec 15th, we'll see what happens.  I know where Cary is in fact I was offered a job with Cary PD about 7 years ago but thought it was too far to commute from the Jacksonville area (I had moved here to help my Mom take care of my Grandmother who had Altzheimers, I don't know if I spelled that right...  soooo, I took a job down here).  I hope I can come up and meet ya'll...  I'm going to try to drag Sheila and anyone else who wants to come with me on up.   Talk with you soon, Sheryl
