Met some of the wonderful ladies from NC Oh Board in Raleigh for brunch. Shopping. Hair appointment. More shopping.  Currently doing laundry and also doing the Dog in/ dog out dance. Working up my lunch/ dinner menu for next week (including Turkey day food for just me and hubby). Heading to the grocery store (usually empty 6:30 on a saturday) then daughter has a hockey game she's playing in tonight at 8pm.  Getting up at 6am to go to another hockey game she's in tomorrow morning, then finishing laundry and prep-cooking my meals for the week.

Well, I was out DOING my weekend plans when you asked this question but here is what I have done with today (so far): Got together with some friends who helped me rototill and plant a 50by4 ft flower bed in front of my house.  Yesterday we picked up the plantings: gardenias, indian hawthorns, knockout roses, and a couple of other "woodies" whose names I can't remember.  Then I raked up pine straw from my driveway to mulch it all.  Then I hitched a ride to pick up my pick-up which did NOT have a cracked head, but just had a busted fan belt and it is fine now.  Thank you God! Then I sawed some firewood for about an hour.  Then I took some trash to the dump. Now I am watering the new beds.  Of course, there were the usual fillers with the doggie in and outs and feeding the chickens... I might just treat myself to a jacuzzi tonight! Tomorrow I am hoping that I will get to meet Lisa, our Christmas card coordinator, who is coming by to pick up some clothes I "ungrew."  I might meet up with another friend later in the day.  Or I might go shopping for some bulbs to plant for the spring in my new beds.  Or I might saw more firewood or mulch more pinestraw!  Who knows?  I try to take it one day at a time!

Oh my Gosh, Suzanne, I'm exhausted just reading your post!  Wow!

Well, I got up this morning and made some yummy cottage cheese pancakes.  DH liked them quite a lot.  I thought they were good, but the SF syrup was actually too sweet, so I ended up passing my first two back to DH (thank God he loves my leftovers), and then I put some SF applesauce on top.  Now that was good!  Then I went to Yule Mart on Ft Bragg.  It was a Christmas Craft Fair.  I found a few great gifts for friends, and a few great gifts for me too!  After that, I stopped by the grocery store, which turned out to be a nightmare.  What was I thinking, the grocery store on the Saturday before Thanksgiving.  Yikes!  By the time I got home, I was done!   Earlier in the week I was thinking about driving up to Raleigh this morning for the get-together, but ended up making plans for the Yule Mart instead.  Sorry I missed it, because it sounds like you all had a great time, and I would love to actually meet some of the people I've talked with here.  I'll have to really consider going next time!

Hey Deb, I go to Sanford about once a week and would love to get together for lunch one day.  I could stop and pick up Annie and we could meet at Ruby Tuesdays.  Are you interested?  Maybe we could do it one day after Thanksgiving holidays?  I hope so. Diane

OMG Suzanne!

I feel like such a slacker.

I'm glad to hear that the truck is back and it didn't require a major overhaul.

Yesterday was a girls day out. I really enjoyed seeing so many old and new OH friends. After that Lisa and I had a lovely day shopping and we stopped at Applebees and had WLS friendly salads. We talked and talked. I am so delighted to have made friends with Lisa. We go do this whenever she comes up and I just love it.

Today I have to drive up to Greensboro to pick up a puppy. I'm going to load "Limp Along" aka Sarah in the backseat for the trip ... She's getting house crazy and would love to get out.

Of course, I have the usual chores. Feeding and cleaning up after the dogs/puppies. Laundry, making dinner. I need to take new photos of the puppies and work on securing their new homes. Will probably see about cleaning up the dining room and kitchen tables so that we can have a proper, sit down dinner.

There's so much more to do, but I'll be lucky if I get all of that done.

I hope that you enjoy your time with Lisa today.

Barb

I just got back on line after being out of work for 3 days sick as can be with a sinus infection and cold...  I hated missing the Beans get together and I hope everyone had a good time but I figured I'd keep my germs to myself.  I will be doing my housework on my next days off (Tues/Weds), I have to work on Thansgiving again this year - ugh!  Anyway, I hope you had a good weekend!
