RE:Pre-op visit

I'm back from my pre-op visit and it really went very well.  Sorry  that it has taken we a while to get back on and let you know how everything went.  Got a migraine headache on the way back home on Tuesday and was very sick on Wednesday.  I'm feeling better now but have been very busy making sure that I have everything ready here at home and what I need for the trip for my surgery. I am going to go to Durham early Monday morning since I have to take that "LOVELY" drink!! Don't know what time my surgery is but I'm ready and waiting. I got to meet Dr. Portenier and a new psychologist (I like she is in training).  Dr. Portenier was very good at giving us the GOOD the Bad and the UGLY about the surgery.  He answered some lingering questions I had and was just very informative.  The psychologist gave us a list of things to do when we get home and start having thoughts of food, depression and other things that might come along after surgery.  All in all everything was very good. I'll stop rambling now and go do some more things I need to do. Take care everybody and maybe I get to be back on before I leave for my surgery. Nancy

I'm sooo sorry to hear of your headache; migraine headache are just miserable.

I'm glad to hear that all went well. They have a good group there and you will be in good hands.

Do you have an angel? If not, and you want one, please let me know. Also, please let me know if you'd like a visitor. I live about 40 mins from the hospital and would be glad to come see you.

Thanks Barb, To answer your questions - NO I do not have an angel and I would be more than glad for you to visit me.  It would be so good to get to meet you in person.  The only thing is I'm not sure what I'm going to look like but that is OK because I'll be on the losing side of things and that just tickles me to death.   Thank you for being a very good friend, Take care, Nancy
