Update... Well, What I Know

I had my 3 month labs drawn Thursday... and they tore my poor arm to shreds. Nothing new there!  I should get my results on Monday, but my PCP made me pee in the almighty cup.  That did not come back well... now I'm worried.  She told me to up my protein and fluid. I think I might explode if I have to eat and drink more! Does anyone feel like they eat more now than they did before? The two hour schedule makes me feel like all I do is eat and drink. They laugh at me at work... I'm on the eat, drink and pee break plan. Other than feeling VERY tired and working too much everything is great. Enough rambling for now. I have to be up and ready for the scouts and the parade early in the morn. I hope this finds everyone well and happy.  Hugs

Hi there:      Well, at least they are drawing some labs at 3 months and if there is a problem than you can correct it before it becomes more of a problem. My surgeon doesn't draw labs till 6 months so if there is a problem than I am oblivious....lol. You just need to make sure you are taking those vitamins faithfully. By the way, what scouts are you referring to? It is 6 am and I am getting ready to leave to pick up popcorn for my son's boy scout troop since I am the popcorn kernel. My daughter is involved in girl scouts and should hopefully get her gold award this year since she is in her last year. We shall see....busy senior year. Anyhow, have fun at the parade today as well and try not to worry about the labs. Lisa

I have a boy scout! They sure do keep us busy. We just had a camp out on Grandfather Mountain! Do you know how cold that was????  I hag my labs pulled a little early because I was feeling so tired and Aunt Flo has come back as a raging %#&#! If you feel anything is off just call your PCP and have them draw labs for malnutrition. That was funny to walk in there at near 270 pounds and say 'Hi, I'm malnurished!'   Hugs

Hi Shawana! So nice to hear from you again!  Like Lisa, I don't get labs done until 6 months.  I suspect it's probably because everyone is low at the 3 month mark.  LOL  I sip all day on home-made protein shakes and like you, feel as though all I do is eat.  Who woulda thunk we would EVER be complaining about THAT???? The fatigue is probably because you aren't getting enough fluid or protein, in addition to the stress at work.  I make sure I get to bed by 9pm so I can get up at 430 and not be toast when I start my 6am shift.  Otherwise, I am worthless!  But oh, it is hard to discipline yourself to get enough sleep! How goes the weight loss progress?  Stay in touch!

I'm steady losing 2-4 pounds a week. 74 pounds. Slow... I kind of like it that way.  I actually got to wear the same new pants for a month! Dr. Lowe does labs every 3 months the first year then yearly.  I will try to find time to post some pics and update my ticker. Enough sleep isn't the issue... If I'm not at work or scouts then I'm snoozing! It's once I get here and slow down it's over. I nodded off helping my son do his homework! He thought that was really funny... said now I knew how boring his school work is!  Silly boy!

(((((Shawana)))))

Sorry to hear that your levels are lower than they would like to see, but as Lisa and Suzanne said, I'm glad to hear that your Dr is checking on you and you'll be able to correct the problem before it gets to be a serious issue.

It's great to hear from you.

Enjoy the day,

Barb

Thanks, Barb! I have a great PCP and a Fantastic surgeon. Good thing is my PCP has several patients that have had the surgery! I go in for allergies and she checks my levels and feels my belly.  I'm not sure how my levels will be in my bloodwork and I refuse to stress it. I take my vitamins like clockwork. We all are going to have bumps on this road and I feel lucky to say this will be my only real issue besides the attack of the scar tissue! Not bad in my opinion. I can live with that... and lose weight, too!  I truely feel better now even being tired. It's amazing what just a couple of months can make. Hugs

That reminds me, they never called me about my 3 month labs!! I'm so glad you posted, I'll have to call them Monday morning. I'm sorry your arm got all banged up in the process though. :(
