Filter have been removed

Had a CT scan first thing this morning and was told the clot had become much smaller so small in fact they were able to remove it today. I had to have two bouts of ink today and boy did it make me dump when I got home. Still I send many praises to UNC and Dr. Farrel for having the filter put in before wls. My neck is pretty sore but just glad it is over with. Annie

So glad to hear you got that nasty filter out. I know it saved you a lot of problems but I am still glad it's gone! Get yourself some rest, girl!

I'm glad that you were blessed with the filter, with the medication to reduce the clot and being able to have the filter removed. I'm sorry to hear that you dumped from the dye ... I wonder what was in it that would make you dump?

I hope that your neck feels better soon.

Annie,

So glad tohear that your filter has been removed - also glad that you had it when that nasty old clot decided to roam about!!

I have already had 2 clots that went to my lungs when I my last knee surgery so Dr. DeMaria has said that he will be very watchful and that I'll have to take shots at home for several months maybe a year to ward off any clots.

Take care and hope your neck starts to feel much better soon.
